Jonathan to reshuffle Cabinet. Deziani Allison Madueke may go

INDICATIONS that President Goodluck Jonathan may reshuffle his cabinet has emerged, The Moment has learnt.

Among the people being considered by the president in a list he sent to the State Security Services for screening are former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo; ex-Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuemeka Ezeife; former Special Adviser on the Niger Delta, Mr. Timi Alaibe, former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Hamisu Mai Rago; the immediate past acting National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Kawu Baraje.

Others are former PDP National Publicity Secretary, Prof. Rufai Alkali; former PDP National Organising Secretary, Uche Secondus; former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Ada Okwuonu and former PDP National Legal Adviser, Olusola Oke.

Expectedly, intense lobbying has started by both the serving ministers, who wants to retain their seats and the aspiring ministers.

According to sources, the people have started lobbying the National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur and other key figures in the Peoples Democratic Party like Chief Tony Anenih, a former Chairman of the party's board of trustees and Chief Edwin Clark, a respectable South-South leader.

The nomination of Alaibe, according to The Moment's findings, is generating most anxieties in government circles, as people are curious of what will become the fate of Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Deziani Allison, who like Alaibe, is from Bayelsa, the President's home state, since only one nominee can emerge from the state.

Alison-Madueke was appointed by the late President Umar Yar'Adua as a minister in 2007, and like Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, the Minister of National Planning, who was appointed by Jonathan in 2010, may not retain her position, just as others in the 2010 class; Ruqayyat Rufai (Education), Segun Aganga (Trade and Investment), Caleb Olubolade (Police Affairs)Bala Muhammed (Federal Capital Territory) and Emeka Wogu (Labour.)

It is also expected that the President will remove his National Security Adviser (NSA), General Andrew Azazi (retd.) and replace him with Ekpeyong Ita, the current Director-General of State Security Service, (SSS.)

The PDP was embarrassed by the statement credited to the NSA that the party was responsible for the Boko Haram crisis and insecurity in the country and has been putting pressure on the President to replace him (Azazi.)

  4. Romans 5:5 says, Hope maketh not ashamed.
Fellow Nigerians lets not give up our hope that God is well able to make Nigeria be the best of country in the world. There is a reason why we are Nigerians. Hope lost, implies loss of faith in God to change Nigeria / Nigerians, loss of courage to pray to God, loss of morals for immoral acts, loss of normalcy for abnormality, etc the least is endless.
Isaiah 3:10 says ‘it is WELL with the righteous’. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Nigeria will survive and gain back ALL her loss glory, in Jesus name, amen.
Satan the devil is our common enemy. Let’s get rid of his manipulation and be in the liberty that Jesus proffered!

    Thanks

  7. We keep hoping that God will do something! Where has God done something without human action/intervention? God said "faith without work is dead"... DEAD! Its time we did something as responsible citizens of Nigeria. At least we can vote, and throw away the PDP cabal out forever from our polity. It is obvious they are not willing to democratize and evolve positively.
