The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) yesterday said Christians are also involved in sophisticated terrorism in Nigeria just as it expressed concern over the way serious security issues are being handled with at the expense of the citizens in the country.
JNI in a statement by its Secretary General Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu said had Mr. John Alaku Akpavan, the man arrested at Radio House Abuja on Monday with grenades, were to be a Muslim, the story would have been different. “Since he is a Christian, he is either insane or incapacitated; but if he were a Muslim, he is a terrorist, Boko Haram or a fundamentalist”, it said.
“All thanks are due to Allah the Most High for vindicating the JNI because some times in February, 2012 we made a press release demanding explanations from the CAN President on why some Christians are arrested in Muslim attires/dressing while attempting to bomb or commit act of terrorism.
“Few of such were the cases of one Lydia Joseph (the failed bomber of St. John Catholic Cathedral) of Bauchi State who attempted to bomb a church; the man arrested in Bayelsa State was also in turban, and the Gombe case. Again we were astonished to hear of one Augustine Effiong in connection with BUK bomb attack.”

"Denial" thats what its called!!! And while we are denying instead of acting, the culprits are getting better organized at it.
ReplyDeleteI pray God exposes all those involved in Nigeria's insecurity wherever and whoever they may be very soon.
WE NEED TO PRAY!!!
Most of the problems was caused by our media that failed to be objective in their reporting. Give us what is happening and stop cajoling us in this country.
ReplyDeleteVindicated my foot!
ReplyDeleteWhether christains are involved is the issue here?instead of us to address the voilence in the north we are here trading balame. I am certain that no terrorist is burning schools in the south, east or west. I am certain that no church has been successfully bombed by the christains, is not strange that they are always caught.I am certain that no christain has gone on U tube or TV to ask for holy war or war on people that don't have the same beliefs.
Let's us leave the hypocrisy behind, are the JNI saying that boko haram does not exist? Are they saying they are not a menace? Are they saying the terrorism does not exist? Or is their issue simply "muslims are not the only ones".
When so called elders have nothing constructive to say, they should be economical with their speech.
Don't you know that a muslim can claimed to bear a Christian name? and in Christians gathering? What we know, boko haram exist and don't mock again. Pray for the peace and successful governance of this nation, Nigeria.
ReplyDelete@ JNI They said/mean why only muslims are figured out while christians are also involved in this terror acts?
ReplyDeleteLets be sincere to our self. Although this you emulate from the No 1 incapacitate office when a southerner is charged you give them back to hide.
You are devil not a good servant of God too selfish and ignorant.
Convert all Muslims in Nigeria to Christianity, then and only then will terrorism take flight of Nigeria
ReplyDelete@Fadeke, from my perspective, the JNI is making a valid point. There might be some issue with the way the point has been presented.
ReplyDeleteThere is Islamophobia in this country and this is often tacitly fostered by our jaundiced press/media. You even notice it in the tone of comments posted on this and similar platform, e.g. @ikenna steve nweke.
Get me right: I do not support or encourage violence from any source, be it physical or of the tongue.
Don't get me w
Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, you are a CHEAP GUY,The said Augustine was forced to become a muslin by the dead leader of bokoharam.
ReplyDeleteU will tell every one that a muslim person can choose any religion and when they see the truth and light in christ u go after them to kill them or disown them. Augustine was forced to become a muslim against his wish. just shut up your mouth you terrorists and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
@Savage JNI have no point. There is islamophobia where? In which part of the country. It is our responsibility as a person to filter our information or speech. When uncultured people make comments, it does not mean it is applicable to reasonable people.we have both christains and muslim in my family everyone is entitled to their own belief, its your way of living that can convince another to convert. When the slogan for a group is western education is sin?death to the infidels! Please get real!
ReplyDeleteReligious intolerance exists only in the north, and the voilence in question exists only in the north. What is JNI's point here please maybe I do not understand.
JNI Secretary General,
ReplyDeletePlease take note and correct your ignorance... MODE of dressing has no religeous conotation. NO body was born with religious dress wether Christian NOR muslim.
Take Note dont be sentimental!
@anonymous, nobody can be forced to join any religion, effiong is not a converter he was just saying that to be free.
ReplyDelete@Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu ...You are just blabbing as all Nigerians knows that muslims are the brain behind all terrorism issues in Nigeria, believe it or you leave it.
ReplyDeletethe people see the truth but they will not believe
ReplyDeletewhat the man was saying is right bcos people are focusing Muslim in what is happened Nig today they all forget that anybody can join any group to gain their self interest. So my country people let us talk the truth. These people they are not false Christian we all know that our politics are using them under one umbra but very soon truth shall prevail by God grace. thanks sulyman
Ha-ha-ha-ha!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, that,s what our politicians want so that they can continue to deceive us to gain access to their agenda.
Ho-ho-ho-ho!!!
The reach gets recher,
The poor gets poorer and they laugh at us speaking english to each other on papers and on-line.
The truth will surely arise.
