A road accident involving petroleum tankers in Gangari village along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway yesterday caused massive inferno during which no fewer than 17 houses were burnt. Property worth mil-lions of naira were similarly razed.Among the buildings consumed by the inferno was a mosque, eyewitnesses recounted.
NigerianEye gathered that the incident happened at about 4 p.m.
Though no casualty was recorded at press time, rescue agencies like National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), fire fighters, road safety officials, the police and volunteers were on hand.
The incident has ren-dered scores homeless and has created confusion in the village.
