It's over 48 hours now since the JAMB Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, announced the release of the 2012 JAMB/UTME results, yet over 1.5 million students who sat for the exams haven't been able to access the JAMB website to check their results.
The official website www.myjambonline.com as at the time of this report still isn't accessible.
According to reports, the decision to shut down the site was reportedly taken by the Board due to the website’s inability to serve requests by users trying to check their scores nationwide.
JAMB, with an annual budget of over N2.4b billion, was at press time yet to fully restore the website
A candidate who spoke with NigerianEye said "I have been trying to check my results since friday, but the site is not working, I'm getting nervous, i dont know what's wrong"
Another candidate who sat for the exams lamented "since this problem began, nobody has come out to say anything to us. What you will normally see on other people’s site if this kind of thing happens is that they will paste a message on their site to explain the situation but we have not seen that and it is unfair"
