Stephen Etuk, A newly admitted student of Federal Polytechnic Auchi, Edo State, department of Fashion Design and Clothing Department lost his life after falling from a mango tree in the school.
The sad incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday after Etuk was said to have finished an all-night reading session with his colleagues in the school premises.
They were said to be preparing for Citizenship Education test which was expected to hold on Saturday morning as well as the forthcoming semester examination expected to commence on Wednesday, next week.
Campus Square gathered that the deceased climbed a mango tree close to the School of Engineering attempting to pluck a fruit but fell down in the process. A branch of the tree Stephen was standing on was said to have broken while he was trying to pluck the fruit. He died a few minutes later.
