Buhari to re-contest 2015 presidential election

The CPC’s Presidential Candidate in the 2011 general elections, retired Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has declared his intention to re-contest the seat in the 2015 general elections.
Buhari made his intention known while addressing CPC supporters in Kaduna who visited him.

He told the crowd that he would not quit politics adding: “I am still in until the polity is sanitised and people enjoy the fruits of democracy at all levels of government. ”

The CPC leader also pledged to ensure that the party continued to field credible candidates at the polls.

He urged party supporters to close ranks for victory in future elections.

Buhari advised security agencies, the judiciary and INEC to exhibit high degree of professionalism and patriotism at all times for the progress of the country.

He also urged youths to shun acts of violence, thuggery and money politics to make their future better.

Buhari enjoined the people to canvass for their rights by emulating Nasarawa and other areas where CPC triumphed.

Mr Ibrahim Kailani, the Leader of the group and Igabi Local Government Council Chairmanship aspirant in Kaduna State, had earlier urged Buhari not to abandon the people.

He solicited for Buhari’s support ahead of the upcoming local government polls in the state and subsequent national elections.

  1. Buhari will be president of an ungovernable, fragmented and boko haram destroyed Nigeria?. May be he means Daura, as a local chief. This is someone who ruled this country once and did Nothing progressive. Sorry Sir, you can NEVER govern Nigeria again in your life time. This is my prayer in the name of the Most High and Holy God, Amen.

  2. i'm yet to hear Buhari's comment on the Boko Haram saga, yet he is preparing to rule a country he and his supporters destroyed, the country they have secretly deharmonised after the last presidential election, a country he has no love and interest for...who will vote him, i think he is preparing for another defeat

  4. The recent resurgence of BOKO HARAM is as a result of buhari's loss last year. Who knows if he is not behind these miscreants? Afterall he has not made real comments about them only to be advising youths to shun violence . He should go and sleep

  6. No comment about Boko Haram by the permanent presidential candidate? Haba mallam, is it our corpses you want to govern when your instrument of destruction has killed and bombed all?

  7. My prayer is that his effort will be a gross waste of his time and energy and those blood thirsty supporters of his. A man that openly wishes his country evil, anytime he bothers to talk of boko haram bloodshed he says it will continue until nigeria reverts to justise. The injustice is that he failed to return to power!
He thought that the killing of innocent souls by BH will make all give in to his return, it only strengthen us and take him farther from the seat of power, God is our Shepperd.

  8. We will continue to support him no matter what your evil comments to our loving country until justice is done. Every good nigerian knows who Boko Haram are. If you do not, go and ask of MAITASINE from where was he and most of his followers and who sponsored them. HABA always think out of self-fishness my brother.

  12. @Anonymous 10:50AM

U don't know anything!Boko-haram is about destruction! If Boko-haram is for politics, why destroying Christians & Southerners? If it's political, they should be bombing politicians and NOT churches. They are bombing Christians & southerners because they believe they were the one that voted in GEJ and not Buhari. We won't vote for Buhari come 2015,he should continue sponsoring Boko-haram!If he's not supporting them,he should come out openly to condemn Boko-haram.

  15. I do not think we should use this medium to settle either religious or ethnic issue, we rather contribute logically. Buhari governed this country once and we are all witness to how "weak" his administration could have been if not by the stubborn attitude of his late second in command. Gone are those days when politicians will tell you that they will pursue certain policy in governance and will submit a logical road map on how it will be achieved. These days, it is promise, promise and promise without anyone of us asking the salient question of how, how, how?

  16. Thank you, for that comment those that did not want the progress of this country will die before 2015. As for me Buhari is coming to receive his last disgrace, we don't need him he has failed this country with his crocodile tears yet he doesn't want good for this great country just because of his selfish political reasons, shame on you is only your boko haram that will support you never again, you are too old to rule this country you better go and prepare for your grave.
