A bomb explosion at a predominantly Christian quarters of Sabon Gari area of Kano municipality Sunday evening triggered pandemonium among residents and unsettled nightlife.
An eyewitness said he saw two people came down from a commercial motorbike shortly before the explosion.
“After the two people on motorcycle left the scene, a powerful explosion was heard, and this affected people at the drinking joint, people just ran for dear lives.”
However, Police sources said no life was lost in the attack. Three cars parked in front New Road in Sabo Gari were affected by the blast.
The militants reportedly put IEDs under a car, thinking the explosives would trigger a gas tank explosion to cause maximum damage.
Only three cars, a Honda CRV midsize SUV, and two other cars parked close to each other were burnt by blast says a security source.
Following the attack the Joint task force (JTF) arrived the scene with armored car and bomb disposal staff , they later cordoned off the area to determine the actual cause incident
