President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday urged Nigerians to support the nation’s security agencies in the fight against the threat posed by Boko Haram.
In a post on his Facebook page, Jonathan said he had worked with various interests to prevent the disintegration of the country and promised to use all means to fight the scourge of terrorism.
Incidentally, the post came a day after the State Security Service reportedly captured a suspected Boko Haram spokesman, Abu Qaqa, in Kaduna. He did not, however, refer to the deadly sect by name.
Jonathan also praised security agents for protecting the citizens and urged all Nigerians to give them necessary support.
Apparently referring to the threat posed by Boko Haram, Jonathan said the sclae of terrorism witnessed in the past few months were of ”a type and make” never before experienced in Nigeria.
He said he had, however, remained undaunted in preserving the federation.
“Let me also use this post to thank the men and women who serve our country in various security formations at this trying time. Your sacrifices and duty to Nigeria is greatly appreciated. It is true that security operation strategies are not things you discuss in the open, I want to inform you my friends on Facebook that these gallant men and women have prevented and forestalled several situations that would otherwise have led to more national misery and pain.
“As the security forces close the gap and build up capacity to meet these national and international crimes against our common humanity, I want to request all patriots to give them every support needed. Please beg the Hausas/ACF that feels that they are above Law, killing people any how. This is not their first time they need to be dealt with. Look at their leaders watching their Almajiris killing innocent souls, God is there watching them (Hausas), they are not human at all. They want to be leaders all the time look at that International Born Bastard (IBB) with his Hausas counterpart they want to frustrate this government(GEJ) but God that created both God fearing Muslims and God fearing Christians will not accept their plan and will put them into shame. They want to be there always, i dont blame them when majority of Hausas are not educated they are Almajiri every where. God will punish whoever/where ever that wants to continue enslave us in Nigeria after 52 years of Independence no hope.
ReplyDeletewhat support does mr. president want from us when the answer lies in their hands. why don't they train the ex-millitants of Niger-Delta abroad in the army and then finance them as soldiers, give them the go ahead to tackle boko haram since it is war that the boko haram sect wants. SIMPLE!
