KANO – A sporadic gun shot at Shagari quarters area of Kano metropolis, Friday evening, dispersed Muslim faithful that had converge in various mosques for late evening congregational prayers in the neighbourhood .
The gunshot also triggered panic among locals who had to take cover in their homes.
Details of the incident are sketchy as at press time but there are heightened fear that a police station located within the precint of the bombed station at Sheka last week might be under attack.
A resident of Shagari quarters, Isa Nura told a source on phone that the shoot-out lasted fifteen minutes, as residents scampered for safety.
Mallam Isa Nura said that the shoot-out began by 8:00 pm.
Efforts to reach the Police high command for confirmation was futile as neither the Kano CP nor the image maker of the Command ASP Magaji Musa Majiya could be reached on their GSM lines.

The Police should provide be a public GSM number for people to call when the need arise in all their station all over the country for security reasons. Infact, these local police are more better than these Nigeria Police cos when emergency issues comes up there are no where to be found, they will immediately remove their shirts and put on a civilian shirt. Nigeria Police are terrible people.
