From the terms its like they are taking over some peoples job. for i know all these have units/ sections and or Parastatals that have these responsibilities. if they are not doing it well is another thing, strengthen them. those with debt on there head should pay up of be prosecuted. Putting highly respected people (Ribadu, Olisa etc ) to do job of grade level 8- 12 not good for the future
ReplyDeleteIt a military approach, would have been better off if it was a presidential task force not ministerial, efcc worked because it goes to president. Bottom line, these kind of approach dont last
Nigerian with their critism has started again.
ReplyDeleteLet the man (GEJ) do the job you all abused and castigated him for. You all made caricature of him all because we dont like his person. He appointed the front runners of your critics group and you are now complaining.
We should find some good thing to do for our country and not only what the country can offer us.
Why can't we as Nigerians see something good about our country for once? Let us show patrotic commitment to our national discourse. Ribado is not serving Jonathan or PDP or ACN. He is serving his country Nigeria. Let us put personal conceptions and misconceptions aside and uplift our great Nation. You may not agree with me but for me, there is no place like home!
ReplyDeleteBennie,
ReplyDeleteEver since GEJ removed subsidy i started having my reservations for him. But i think this is a welcome idea. Mallam Nuhu Ribadu can do it. But has he accepted to do it? i know some will not. if he has, then he is telling us that he can be a good leader. you know a good leader from their humility and followership. BUT, I love Nigeria.- I pray to be in the gov't some day bcos 'once in gov't always in gov't.'
Boot out people not doing their as well as corrupt individuals.
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of people looking for job in our society.
Stop duplication of jobs and cost over bloating.
These are credible people. They are not needed for this assignment.
Deal with the rot in the system and stop wasting our hard earned money on committees and still paying those not doing their job.
Business as usual. Busy but Guilty.
Ade Olowo,
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Nigerians still remains our attitudes towards our country. Why do people criticise Mr. President moves to use a key member of the oppostion party to checkmate the activities of the oil cabal, i don't understand these senseless Nigerians who lack lack education. They will just come on social media to just comment rubbish when they themselves are failure in their respectives business organizations. Some business owners failed to pay their staff salaries regularly, yet they come and open the stupid mouth criticising GEJ. Some have failed in managing their homes, some are divorcee o. Idiot set of people.
tO ME THIS IS A WELCOME IDEA . NUHU RIBADU ,IF HE ACCEPTS THE APPOINTMENT, WILL BE WORKING FOR NIGERIA AS A PATRIOTIC NIGERIAN, AND NOT FOR PDP ACN OR AS A ZONAL REP. YOU KNOW NIGERIANS WILL ALWAYS CRITICISE., BUT PUT THEM THERE THEY TURN OUT TO COMPROMISE THEIR POSITIONS AND BECOME FAILURES GEJ SHOULD NOT LISTEN TO THEM,OK. IS JUST THAT GEJ LEFT OUT MY ADMIRER---FEMI FALANA . PETROLEUM MINISTER DIEZANI , OVER TO YOU. I WANT HIM (FEMI FALANA) ON YOUR LIST. BRAVO
ReplyDeleteI think GEJ has come to realise that there is unity in diversity , i mean this country needs to employ people who are ready to serve the masses not recycling old politicians who does not posses the right moral standard to lead us to a greater height.........Pls Ribadu we still belief in you compare to those old fools don't betray our trust in you
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I believe it's a step in the right direction. GEJ is objectively doing what is right, and I think we should support him. GOD bless Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteRibadu's appointment is a welcome development. For those who advocate for Femi, hehehe... Femi is just an armchair critic, he can not do the job well, I am sorry to make such comments on an erudite legal scholar like Femi, but that is the fact. He is only good in court cases and legal issues and not this kind of constructive task with workable approach, he may end up distarbilising the members with his radicalism and listen to me kind of life style. Take it or leave it but the fact is that my dear Femi (SAN) has never made a constructive criticism, he only condemn with out proffering solutions. Do not doubt the fact that even himself knows that he lacks the qualities of Ribadu and Agbakoba... etc and cannot serve the people out side the court. Femi and legal issues is like a fish in the water, once u take fish out of water, it can no longer be active.
ReplyDeleteIts a welcome idea. A way of saying let us move forward. For once, the subsidy issue has oppened the eyes and hears of the President and he is now awake to his responsibility. Nigerians should give them the chance to perform, given the calibre of the personalties involved, they will do a good job. I wish them God guidance.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Mr. President. Mr. President, I have faulted you in many reports heared about you especially on petroleum subsidy and With this news of Nuhu Ribadu. I can assure you that you have taken giant steps. We need people like him to sanitize every sectors of Nigerian Economy as well as securitywise. May the almighty Allah provide the appointees wisdom to do the right things amen. May God bless Nigeria and Nigerians amen.
ReplyDelete9ce 1. ONE NIGERIA. it remains the likes of Shekerau, Buhari, Atiku and Babangida for them to come together and join hands and work togeda with Jonathan or on the other hand, Nigeria can be divided and they (the northener leaders can rule their own
ReplyDeleteAccording to Prof Ben Nwabueze,Nigeria is so roten at the moment, thus it need a total bloody revolution,in other words senitation.some big dudes are holding this country back due to their selfish useless interest and these known individuals needs to go away permanently.Although many criticised this approach, but to me,the criticised make no sense as i strongly believe it's the only answer.Where are those young discplined soldiers? pls do your job, your country is falling as days goes by and she need your intervention!. let stop going round for the cattle can't get to kano fro hadija with this leaping legs.

ReplyDeleteWhy did we not vote for Ribadu, if we believe he is so capable. Nigerians are syncophants. I smell a rat in GEJ's plan: to not listen to Ribadu's recommendation, and make him look a failure. He should be using EFCC for this job. Ribadu, I beg no accept this appointment jare.
ReplyDeleteFor honor and effectiveness, Jonathan, why not appoint Ribadu minister of Petroleum affairs, and charge him to cleanup the ministry and hunt down corrup elements via you and EFCC?
ReplyDeleteWhat is shasore's name doing among this list. Such a mix of goods with bad.
ReplyDeleteLagos truth teller can enlighten you more on Shasore
we keep on going in circles wen issues that are serious are brought to the front burner, just like the committee set up on subsidy they are just charged to make recommendations, wat can clean the system is to bring people to book and charge them to jail, after which proper structured frame work can ensue. Mr president let justice reign and you will be shocked @ the way govt parastatals will be reformed. why build a house on a poor foundation. what is d min. of petroleum still doin in office? wen the rot occured under her watch.......
