The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Academic Staff of Universities Union (ASUU), on Wednesday, suspended the two-month old strike embarked upon by the Union.
It will be recalled that the Union went on strike on December 4 to protest the non-implementation of the 2009 agreement between ASUU and the Federal Government.
The NEC also instructed lecturers to resume at their duty posts immediately.
The Union also said they will not relent in their efforts to rescue the educational system by pressing home the demands necessary at all times.
