No fewer than 427 Nigerians have been deported from different parts of the globe through the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, within this month.
According to information gathered, the affected Nigerians were deported from Tripoli, Libya; South Africa, Italy and Spain between February 10 and 24.
The first batch of 50 Nigerian deportees were flown back into the country by the South African government on February 10 at 2:20 a.m. through the International Wing of the Murtala International Airport, Lagos, in a chartered plane marked ZCCCZ.
Also, on February 14 at 16:47 p.m, 42 were returned from Europe through a Boeing 737 with the registration number EC-IDA, belonging to Air Europa.
On February 16, another 35 deportees, comprising men, women and toddlers were deported through a B767 aircraft with the registration number EI-CZH at 19:44 p.m.
Also, on February 23, 160 people were deported from Tripoli, Libya, through a B737 chartered aircraft with the registration number 5ADMG at night.
