Nigerian Quadruplets graduate from University on the same day

A little break away from news about Boko haram and the fuel subsidy issue, Nigeria is a great country, with great and amazing people. Despite the rough and tough times and the bad image Nigeria projected to the world in recent weeks, we have worthy ambassadors to be proud of. Recently the Ogunsanya quadruplets were handed their well-deserved degrees from the same university on the same day.
The 23-year-old quads, identical sisters and the oldest by four minutes, Toks and Temi Ogunsanya, and identical brothers, Tobi and Tolu, graduated from Warwick University with Master Degrees.

And there was not a jot of sibling rivalry as all four have landed jobs in the City already.
Toks graduated with anMEng in manufacturing and engineering and Temi, Tobi and Tolu all gained an MSC in management from Warwick Business School.
'The fact we all chose to study at the University of Warwick was a natural decision,' says Tobi, who thinks a bit of sibling rivalry is essential for success.

'We are a close-knit family and were all attracted by the strength of the courses on offer.
'We all gravitated to similar courses because we've always been interested in business and management and our father is a successful businessman in Nigeria.'

The quads, originally from Lagos, Nigeria, have been living in the UK since the age of seven when they began boarding schools. Since leaving university they have all landed top city jobs.
Toks is due to start working for RBS in London later this year, Temi, who interned at Santander over the summer, has been offered a permanent position with the bank, and Tolu is due to start working for one of the 'Big 4' accountancy firms in the City.
'Our parents are four times as proud of us,' added Tobi, who is mulling over two offers from two major City firms.
'They've supported us financially and have encouraged us all the way - without their help we wouldn't be here today.'

  5. Being brought up the UK does not guarantee that they'll turn out fine. However I agree with the fact that their being in the UK presents different line of opportunities for them that's why they were able to get jobs quickly.

In Nigeria, man average family with lower income can manage to pull through but may not have the same opportunities they had. In all I say they are a blessed set of quadruplets.

  36. Congratulations to you guys. I would say you four need to be thankful to your parents for the wonderfull job and sacrifice they have made for you and in particular the Almighty for protecting, blessing and guiding your family.

This is a rare feat anywhere in the world. I am sure this is not possible in Nigeria. Lecturers' strikes must have scuttled their plans and made the family lose focus. I live abroad and I know it is even more challenging to raise good children here because, the system is highly influential. Parents cannot just discipline their childdren just anyhow and also everyone seems to be highly independent of one another.

Hence guys, be glorious and grateful to your parents. Please do not deviate from the good paths you have already established and stay firm and close to your God as your positions are envious. You are such a rare and lucky family! May the Almighty give you good health, happiness and wisdom to live the world.

    Bola from Canada.

  50. first time i hear of a rich man having multiple births up to four. multiple births like this seem to go only the way of the poor and struggling. Nature's way of making up to people for their lack of means seem to be to make them rich in human resources

I FELICITATE with this family. It's the Lord's concept and this should be PECULIAR to the Lord only.He says i shall do a NEW thing and NOW it shall spring forth......and YES,it sprang forth. I say big congrats to u,for the Lord has fearfully and wonderfully created u guys. The 4Ts are unique and extaordinary.I read people' diverse comments about your personalites, yeah in affirmation, they are all REALISTS.......distinction between a DEVELOPED world and a DEVELOPING world,HONESTY and DISHONESTY,HUMANE and INHUMANE,RIGHTEOUSNESS and UNRIGHTEOUSNESS,CAREFULNESS and CARELESSNESS........ALL these are VALUES and VIRTUES worthy of portraying and emulating as a COUNTRY and a LEADER.We can also make Nigeria a safe haven to nurture our younger ones or children without necessarily being ABROAD - UK,USA,CANADA and what have u.Once again i rejoice with U the 4TS.I wish to meet with u or communicate with u via e-mail or phone - kennyjosephus@yahoo.com, +23408060197038
