Espanyol has announced that it has completed the signing of Nigerian striker Kalu Uche.
The Nigeria international had been on the lookout for a new club after Neuchatel was thrown out of the Swiss Super League for falsifying a bank document provided as a financial guarantee in 2011.
He has signed an 18-month deal with Espanyol, which was lacking numbers in attack following injuries to Alvaro Vazquez and Sergio Garcia in recent weeks.
The former Almeria striker joins the Catalan side on the same day as the La Liga outfit signed Inter's Coutinho on loan until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano confirmed the signing of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Joel Robles on a six-month loan deal.
The Spain Under-21 international is the third Atletico player to move to Vallecas in January, following in the footsteps of Diego Costa and Jorge Pulido. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
