Ehiosun's Workrate worries Warri Wolves!

Ekigho Ehiosun is working off his socks to grind results for the various national teams he has played for so far. The last being the London 2012 Olympics qualification match against Tanzania last weekend  in Benin.
The Warri Wolves’ striker scored one and made two goals for the Austin Eguaveon coached Under-23 team in the 3-0 thrashing of the Tanzanians. But his club officials are worried that their star striker is being over worked having to play for the Eagles, the Under-23 and at the same carry the burden of his club in their Premier League campaign.

“The boy is playing too many games and we are obviously worried about this. We thought about blocking him from playing the game against Tanzania, but because Eguaveon was facing injury crisis that was why we let him go.
“We are afraid  that if he continues with the way he is going. He could experience a burn out and this would not be too good for his fledgling career,” said a Wolves official in Warri.

The 22-year-old striker is part of coach Samson Siasia Eagles and also a key member of the Under  23. He did not play the first leg in Tanzania because he was away with the Eagles in the Nations Cup  qualifiers against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa. Eguavoen turned to him for rescue  after   key players suffered injury ahead of the must win qualifiers last Sunday.

Ehiosun opened scoring in Benin City in just three minutes with a header from Haruna  Lukman’s  corner. It was his fifth goal of the Games qualifying campaign.

“I am very happy with my performance and that of the team. Hopefully we can do even better in the next round and put more smiles on the faces of our supporters,” said Ehiosun.
