The offences for which Nnamani was arraigned were allegedly committed between August and November 2002, during his tenure as governor of Enugu State.
He was charged alongside Jacob Nwatu, and Jac Nigeria Limited, Jencha Nigeria Limited, Rainbownet Nigeria Limited and Hillgate Nig Limited were. All the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the 15-count charges.
The judge had earlier adjourned hearing in the matter to May 31, 2011, following the failure of the EFCC to arraign the accused. But he had to vacate the earlier order made at 9.45am when Nnamani suddenly turned up at the court premises by 9.50am, accompanied by EFCC officials.
