The Federal government has evacuated 499 Nigerians from Libya. The rescued Nigerians were the first batch to arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport in the early hours of Sunday.
Recall that the Federal government had at the beginning of the unrest in Libya ordered the National emergency management agency ( NEMA) to evacuate stranded Nigerians. More Nigerians are expected to return home in subsequent batches.
