Biafra: North give Igbos 3 months to leave zone, say they are ungrateful, uncultured

A coalition of Northern Youth Groups tagged, “The Kaduna Declaration” have given all Igbos residing in any part of Northern Nigeria three months to relocate to their places of origin.
They have also directed northerners residing in the East to within three months relocate back to the North.

The spokesman of the group, Alhaji AbdulAziz Suleiman while briefing newsmen in Kaduna Tuesday said, “With the effective date of this declaration, which is today, Tuesday, June 06, 2017, all Igbos currently residing in any part of Northern Nigeria are hereby served notice to relocate within three months and all northerners residing in the East are advised likewise.

“All northern civil society and pressure groups are by this declaration mandated to mobilize for sustained, coordinated campaigns at their respective State Government Houses, State Houses of Assembly, Local Government Council Secretariats and Traditional Palaces to mount pressure for steps to be taken to ensure enforcement of the directives contained herein.
“The North hereby openly calls on the authorities and other national and international stakeholders to acknowledge this declaration by taking steps to facilitate the final dissolution of this hopeless union that has never been convenient to any of the parties.
”From today, June 6, 2017, when this proclamation is signed, the North, a critical player in the Nigerian project, hereby declares that it will no longer be disposed to coexisting with the Igbos and shall take definite steps to end the partnership by pulling out of the current federal arrangement.
“This conclusion is necessitated by the realization that it since ceased to be comfortable or safe to continue sharing the same country with the ungrateful, uncultured Igbos who have exhibited reckless disrespect for the other federating units and stained the integrity of the entire nation with their insatiable criminal obsessions.
“Rather than certain sections holding the whole country to ransom at every stage, each should be allowed to go its own way as we categorically proclaim today that the North is fed up with being the same country with this pack of acrimonious Igbo partners.
“The persistence for the actualization of Biafra by the unruly Igbo of South-Eastern Nigeria has lately assumed another alarming twist which involved the forceful lockdown of activities and denial of other people’s right to free movement in the South-East by the rebel Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its overt and covert sponsors.
“This latest action and similar confrontational conducts which amount to a brutal encroachment on the rights of those termed as non-indigenous people residing and doing lawful businesses in those areas illegally demarcated and defined as Biafra by the Igbo, are downright unacceptable and shall no longer be tolerated.
“Concerned by this persistent Igbo threat to national integration, the above-named Pan-northern groups met with several others and reviewed the current position of the North and jointly came up with the following observations:
“The Igbo people of the South-East, without remorse for the carnage they wrought on the nation in the 1960s, are today boldly reliving those sinister intentions connoted by the Biafran agitation that led to the very first bloody insurrection in Nigeria’s history.
“Emboldened by the apparent indifference of the Nigerian authorities, the Igbo secessionist tendency is widening in scope and action at every stage, with adverse effects on the law-abiding people of other regions residing in or passing through the East, while the Igbo leaders and elders by their utterances and direct action or inaction appear to support and encourage it.
“The cruel Igbos have done and are doing more damage to our collective nationhood than any other ethnic group; being responsible for the first violent interference with democracy in Nigeria resulting in a prolonged counter-productive chain of military dictatorship.
“The Igbos similarly orchestrated the first, and so far, the only civil war in Nigeria that consumed millions of lives and sowed the seed of the current mutual suspicion and distrust.
“The Igbos are also responsible for Nigeria’s cultural and moral degeneracy with their notorious involvement in all kinds of crimes, including international networking for drug and human trafficking, violent robberies and kidnappings, high-profile prostitution and advanced financial fraud.
“At the peak of the devastating Boko Haram violence in some parts of the North, available records show that the Igbo people have variously been apprehended while attempting to convey catches of dangerous arms and ammunition to the troubled regions.
“There are today sufficient reasons to suspect that some Igbos masquerade as Fulani herdsmen to commit violent atrocities across the country in order to cause and spread ethnic disaffection.
“It is also on record that since the inception of the current democratic dispensation, the Igbos have shown and maintained open contempt and resentment for the collective decision expressed by majority of Nigerians at various stages via generally acceptable democratic processes.
“While these provocative acts of aggression persist and grow in dimension with each new move, leaders of the North whose people are at the receiving end of the threats, appear helplessly unperturbed.
“Rather than endorsing a concise framework for pre-emptive action to protect and safeguard the interest of the North and its people, leaders of the region at every stage tend to seek the cover of a flimsy and long-discarded excuse of having fought in the 60s to keep Nigeria united.
“Without pursuing a resolute action-plan, these northern leaders have adopted and have been dragging its people into a pitifully pacifist position in order to sustain an elusive national cohesion that has long been ridiculed by the Igbos.”
He noted, “Since the Igbo have clearly abused the unreciprocated hospitality that gave them unrestricted access to, and ownership of landed properties all over the North, our first major move shall be to reclaim, assume and assert sole ownership and control of these landed resources currently owned, rented or in any way enjoyed by the ingrate Igbos in any part of Northern Nigeria.
“Consequently, officials of the signatory groups to this declaration, are already mandated to commence immediate inventory of all properties, spaces or activity in the north currently occupied by the Igbos for forfeiture at the expiration of the ultimatum contained in this declaration. In specific terms, the groups are directed to compile and forward an up-to-date data of all locations occupied by any Igbo in any part of Northern Nigeria including schools, markets, shops, workshops, residences and every other activity spaces.
“We are hereby placing the Nigerian authorities and the entire nation on notice that as from the 1st October 2017, we shall commence the implementation of visible actions to prove to the whole world that we are no longer part of any federal union that should do with the Igbos. From that date, effective, peaceful and safe mop-up of all the remnants of the stubborn Igbos that neglect to heed this quit notice shall commence to finally eject them from every part of the North.”

    1. From your comment, it is easy to judge the content of your Brain. When BH attacked Christians in the early days of BH, did the south retaliate to Northerners in their region. Now You Bigots want to condemn Igbo's in your region for Biafra. It is easy to ask Igbo to return and Northerners to come back because while the former are entrepreneurs the latter are street urchins with no investment but nuisance to the south i.e. Mai Suya, Okada, shoe shinners etc.

  4. Really, it is hypocritical for Igbos to be making money all over Nigeria while clamouring for a Biafra secession. They should go home, turn their territory to a Biafra of their dreams, and then they would be in a stronger position to secede. I hope they take this warning by the northern youths seriously. Four months is enough for you to vacate the north. If you don't and you again come under attack, blame only yourself!

  5. Oh you all should just shut up. Restructure Nigeria to benefit every one the north refuse now they Want to be on their own and u are afraid. Giving them 3months. Who give monkey banana. Mtchew

    1. Restructuring would not work because it means "let me keep all my natural resources to myself, but give me the benefits of any part of the country I am in."

Outright dissolution of the country for the member states to go their separate ways is best. And I think what these northern youths have said is timely. Igbos no longer have a reason to say they are being prevented from actualising Biafra. They can now go home and create the Biafra of their dreams. Good luck!

  6. The Federal Government of Nigeria should do something on this issue. Hunn! this is a crucial issue. Okay oo. Biafra is still fresh, even if some of us were not born then, we read what happened that time.

  7. The north? Who are those northerners? Do u guys think we are in so called country called Nigeria with happy? Look at the beggars opening their dirty teeth commanding the Ibos..north sorry for ur sick country, sick economy and sick leaders'.....we are the Biafrans we are not afraid of anything.

    1. Those people with "dirty teeth" are the ones that would slaughter you like a ram. Those who slaughtered the Igbos in 1967 were not dressed in suit and tie - they were these same "beggarly dirty-teeth reef-rafs". You better read history and learn!

    2. Let anybody try to slaughter someone else. That person will find out that this is not 1966. Nobody uses knives now.

  8. Lol. I like this... The truth is that the Igbo's don't fear like that... They are ready for anything... But, I prefer they listen to this warning. If adhered to, this warning will bring about the long awaited Biafra, and help Nigeria reconstruct herself. Please, South-East and South-South plus any other part of Biafra in the Northern Nigeria, start returning home o! History may repeat itself again in Nigeria. You should know this our Islam brothers, they can kill at any little provocation. For them to go on air like this means that something is wrong somewhere in the present government. Be wise! Return home! And, prepare for any eventuality...!

    1. So why don't you leave their land and go home? Are you afraid to go home? Don't you want to build Biafra again?

  10. Is this serious or a joke? That all the Igbos living in any part of the Northern Nigeria should leave within 3 months? Because they are not appreciative? But appreciative of what? Are they beggars? Don't they engage in their own business?
Do you give them anything for free? Are they not Nigerians? Even one should not joke with this kind of nonsense, foolish, selfish, devlish, evil, corrupt, suicidal, barbaric and unthoughtful imagination. Please, what are you thinking about? I have always believed that we can make this union called Nigeria to work out very well but with this stupidity of the Northern youth or whatever you call yourself, it's making it more difficult. This is not saying that the Igbos who are agitating for the nation of Biafra are right, they are so wrong to want to pull out of Nigeria because I know that we are each other's strength. We strengthen each other and that's the importance of the ethnic differences and I want to believe that's God's doing. Actually I know that's God's doing because once had God spoken to me about it, in 1993 during the general election which Chief Abiola won and was denied and the Yorubas were thinking of secession or war or something like that. But as much as it's not the right thing for the East to want to pull away, so it's evil for this thoughtless Northern youth to come up with this kind of crap. Two wrongs can't be right, no no.

If a part of Nigeria is hurting by feeling cheated in one way or the other, it's left to the other parts to amicably resolve whatever the cause of the hurt with them because no part is pain free when a part is hurting. No part is enjoying when another part is suffering. When one suffers, Nigeria suffers and when a part hurts, Nigeria hurts. We are supposed to be brothers and sisters of each other. North, do you think you can stand on your own? East, do you think you can survive well without the West or North? West, it is going to be suicidal to want to stand on your own without the North or East. In essence, what I'm saying is that, it's going to be very very difficult and actually impossible for any part or region or zone in Nigeria to stand on their own without it being sanctioned by the One on Whose wisdom we are together in the first place. We may think it's the British government's idea to pull us together as a nation to fit into their selfish idea but I don't totally agree, I believe God has some kind of hand in it, especially after what He told me in 1993.

North, don't be foolish, East, be cautious, West, be very careful, and Nigeria, be godly and listen because, not everything that glitter is gold. May the Lord keep and bless Nigeria IJN for His own purpose and glory, Amen.

    1. Thanks for a great piece Ade. But u went wrong smwhr, where u said when one side is being hurt, others are not happy, u know that these far northerners enjoys the hurt of mid beltans and southerners 100%. Better still, the northern youths doesn't think well bfo acting. No country had been achieved by forcing the secessionists back to their motherland

    2. You have written as a patriotic Nigerian who believes in Nigeria. Igbos have been demanding to be allowed to leave Nigeria to form their Biafra. All along, the rest of the country have believed in "One Nigeria", and the Igbos have seen the north as the obstacle to the realisation of the Biafra of their dreams. Now the North is telling the Igbos that they are ready. I actually expected the Igbos to jump at this opportunity!

  11. NO NO NO, you are wrong it's igbos first started calling for separation and north have been pleading for staying together and you people making this nonsense comments are saying north are afraid that is why they don't want to be separated from south, and if you could remember in 2015 before the election igbos and militants have urged northerners in their land to vacate and north didn't say anything, then now north realised the biafran agitation is so stiff, what is wrong for saying go to your land and form your Biafra, then obtained biafran pass port and make a request for Nigerian visa if they give you you move in but if they rejected you, you remend in Biafra land. Which means all this agitations are fake politically sponsored, let's go a part if you are serious and you fite stand without northern region. Where is Femi fani kayode, where is Ayodele Fayose, where is Namdi Kanu if you are seriously for Biafra Now it's time.

    1. U lie a lot my dear. When in 2015 did south ordered north to leave. I still remember vividly how north first started it, then south south militias issued theirs. Nigerian leaders knows the problems here, but the main issue is that those in power are still those that fought the war 50yrs back. If all of them didn't varnish from the surface of this earth, new dimensions of democracy won't be achieved

    2. Yes, these Igbos have been clamouring for Biafra. Now the North which they have always seen as an obstacle is telling them that they are ready for the separation and that Igbos should go home and build their Biafra as well. Now the Igbos seem to have developed cold feet! Just read their comments here - they are nervous!

  15. There is a hypocritical perspective to the agitations of the Igbo-speaking "Biafrans" which irk me. On the one hand, they are parasites in other people's lands, yet they want to stay isolated. If you ask me, I think its time we went our separate ways. It is not that the majority of northerners do not want to leave. The fact is that the interests of their elites in the oil sector, where they run most of the oil wells to the exclusion of their suffering people, discourages a break up. The Igbos feel that with a break up, they will fill the vacuum left by the Hausa/Fulanis, because in their contempt for Niger Deltans, whom they judge as lazy, the oil will become theirs automatically.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I prophesied that immediately we brake up there will be serious fighting between south east and south south best of their antics, they are in peace now because they are insulting northerners and if northerners are no more they will start facing each other just like southern Sudan did, mark my words.
