We are not part of Biafra map - Urhobos

The Urhobos yesterday denounced its membership in the proposed map of Biafra by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Making the position known yesterday in a statement, National Publicity Secretary of the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, Alhaji Mumakai-Unagha, warned that Urhobo and its territories should be counted out from any IPOB plan.

“IPOB have their rights of agitation for freedom of self determination as enshrined in the united nation declaration stressing that other ethnic groups should not be dragged along to avoid the mistake that led to the civil war.

“The magnanimity of Urhobos in allowing Igbos celebrate the Igbo Cultural Day should not be taken for granted as we urge IPOB to delist Urhobo from its proposed map.”

  1. Are you speaking the minds of all, or the minds of disgruntled elements among you, think before limp, a morsel of food is not for the public and if otherwise exposed the children of the house may die of hunger.

  2. Nobody needs you people that has an Alhaji as your leader.... What the agitation is all about is to release NNAMDI KANU or he should be prosecuted in a court of law. When the real fight for Biafra starts some people will beg to join.

  4. Let the Yibos go, their greed, rituals, money and titles at any cost, disregard etc are enough. I agree that they should not drag unwilling minorities along. This misjudgement proved costly to them during Biafra war

  5. Dear uhrobo man, Is one Nigeria without real federalism good for you? Or are you speaking out of your hatred on igbos? Or maybe you want to use this opportunity to ask for favor from the federal government?

  6. You igbo guys should shut your mouth concerning issues you can't really comprehend... while the urhobos might be a minority, that doesn't mean you have to rant your mouths and dance to the tune of rich people sending you out to make noise where there is none... The issue of Biafra is something you guys can handle with a bit more maturity. I'm yet to see one of your igbo leader join you in these stupid protests
