Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu’s statement that Lagos residents of Igbo descent must vote for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, or else they will die in the lagoon has been confirmed via a circulating video.
Video below...
The monarch on Sunday said he was not ready to beg the Igbos and warned them not to repeat their support for presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan on March 28.
Following the criticism that greeted the outburst, the Oba’s palace issued a statement denying the comments attributed to the paramount ruler in the state.

But the video recording has now confirmed that Oba Akiolu indeed uttered what he had been accused of saying.
He can be heard saying “On Saturday, if anyone of you goes against Ambode who I picked, that is your end. If it doesn’t happen within seven days, just know that I am a bastard and it is not my father who gave birth to me.
“Jonathan is my son and I speak to him everyday. By the grace of God, I am the owner of Lagos for the time being. This is an undivided chair. The palace belongs to the dead and those coming in the future.
“On Saturday, if anyone of you, I swear in the name of God, goes against my wish that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos State, the person is going to die inside this water. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

What a shame from a royal father. We're dead in the hands of APC. God save our soul.
ReplyDeleteYou are a very brilliant fool
DeleteThat idiot who calls himself APC loyal father should be arrested. It's like he has lost his head, brain. And APC should come out public nd disassociate itself frm that statement
ReplyDeleteIt is you and your family that will die in the lagoon. Fool. Come April 11 we will all go out and vote for jimi agbaje and the you can go and hang yourself . bastard

DeleteIgbos in Lagos use your voting power to silent imposition of candidates on the people. This cannot be tolerated in a democray.
ReplyDeleteWhat a rubbish. May God deliver is from the hands of evil doers. Please my fellow being let's vote against the Oba's wish and wait for what will happen. He just forgot that he is not God. Nonsense!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat the man is saying is too irritating, area boy in form of king. All these insults on Igbo people are caused by successive Nigerian Government who neglected our business areas like the Onitsha and Aba he called, if they can develop that place for us the way they developed Lagos and we have a major seaports, international airports and good roads in East, we will go out of this overcrowded and traffic jam Lagos and also flourish in our land.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much ''kabiyesi'' for that wonderful campaign for Jimi Agbaje. we will go en mass and vote for him as you have directed. your curse remains with you and your household. you only have mandate from the gods. We serve the almighty GOD who has placed you and your gods under our feet, you better repent of your evil and paganism and serve the Lord. Powerless power!!!. This is DEMOCRACY.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised at this man. He's been deranged since young age. He's been a thorn in the flesh of we Lagosians as well. Once he sees money, he runs mad.
ReplyDeleteLike the Awujale said, no royal father should interfere in politics. Now that is an oba of great repute.
Even Akiolu's children know him to be a mad man.
We thank the Oba of Lagos for his Terrorist Manifesto! Boko Haram is not alone in the game. God is watching. Is Jimi Agbaje a slave in Lagos or some kind of an outcast. I need clarifications.
ReplyDeleteThe Oba has seen it coming. he is acting the script of failure. As Oba I guess he should be father for all. he has counted his chicks even before hatching. Sorry baba there is no room for corruption. your candidate has lost the election. prepare to drown yourself in the water prepared for the Igbos.
ReplyDeleteOba Akiolu's statement fell short of a respected and non-partisan monarch. If I am an Igbo person, his statement is enough to change my mind. It is good that Akinwunmi Ambode has dissociated himself from that statement. Saturday is around the corner and all of us should vote wisely.
ReplyDeleteGod is a wise God, He just made us kno dat d oba has some bargain in Ambode becomin d governor & Lagos money will be shared wt d oba hmmm Igbo's & infact Lagosian should vote wisely, vote out APC in Lagos vote JIMI AGBAJE & let see what akiolu will do.
ReplyDeleteAll this your campaign strategy will not change our mind to vote Ambode nice try though.
DeleteNeither does this comment display you as wise. It wasn't a campaign strategy but a fellow Nigerian's thought. Don't be stupid please. No-one was trying to canvass for your vote.
DeleteThis is just the beginning of this new regime, Oba or whatever they called u, thanks for indirectly telling all Igbos in Lagos to vote Jimi Agbaje. And we will definitely do that. Then you and your family will drown in lagoon.
ReplyDeleteFrom Day 1,We all know ur tribe as tribes of bastards so you can confirm it to 2 those fouls you are ruling after the election
ReplyDeleteHe said only him knows how he put Ambode...how many Godfathers does Ambode actually have???
ReplyDeleteLagosians vote wisely, Apc preach change...let us start that change in lagos on saturday, we've had enough 16years of a particular soup!
The Oba of Lagos in an attempt to intimidate the igbos resident in Lagos has threatened to kill igbos if they vote for Jimi Agbaje for Governor. No body can test the resolve of our people. Igbo bu igbo let us now show our electoral worth and relevance by voting for Agbaje. Great warriors of Biafra, please teach this Oba a lesson with your vote. Any igbo who votes for Ambode is a slave. Send this to at least 5 others. Igbo kwenu ! !
ReplyDeleteJimi Agbaje for live! God has work in the favour of Jimi because he has caused his enemies to make mistake that will take him to the next level.
ReplyDeleteJimi Agbaje has being favour by God, the oba can go and dia in the logoon
