Hello Nigerians
As thousands of delegates from across Nigeria converge on Lagos this week to select the APC candidate to run for president in next year’s elections, NigerianEye is thereby using this medium to start an opinion poll to sample the opinion of Nigerians home/abroad.
While many believe Wednesday’s primary looks set to be a two-horse race between Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar, others believe that a dark horse can emerge among the other contestants, Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, his Imo State counterpart, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the Publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah

He is the candidate to look out for in 2015 presidential election.

DeleteNigerians, wake up and smell the cofee. Anybody but Buhari will win the APC presidential primary. We all mostly want Buhari but, he wont win. Because primaries are decided by delegates who has zero morals and who typically, like Nigerian politicians are motivated by money. Therefore,whoever has more money wins,which is not Buhari. We all know Buhari hasn't got money as such. That is why Atiku was vehemently against a concensus candidate. It's easier for him and other money bags to influence hundreds of hungry amoral delegates than would be fellow contestants who are mostly rich themselves. Besides, what incentive is there for the party stalwart and most influential person Ahmed Bola Tinubu to support Buhari? who has made fighting corruption his first agenda. And we all know it might not be too long before Buhari has the Asiwaju in his anti corruption cross hair. And even the Asiwaju probably knows that as well,he would not take chances. Personally if I was Tinubu I wouldn't.

ReplyDeleteI think if by my political Calculation, if Rochas wins the thicket, APC will stand a better chance of winning the presidency. 1. Rochas is popular in the North,
ReplyDelete2.The South Eastern Nigeria which has 100% support for Jonathan will have a rethink and so Rochas may have upper hand.
3. The south west well rooted in APC. May vote for APC.
G.Muhammad Buhari will win, in sha Allah. He has a message to deliver or accomplished which Babagida did not allow them to complete in 1985.
