In the open letter the Angry Ex-president, Olusegun Obasanjo accused the President Jonathan of taking actions calculated at destroying Nigeria.
Read what Femi Fani Kayode had to say about the letter below
“OBJ has finally closed GEJ’s chapter with his letter. Jonathan is finished- mark my words. Abati should shut up and let his boss speak for himself on this one.
The Ebora Owu has spoken and the issues that he has raised are too serious to be ignored or to be responded to with amatuerish and cheeky insults and slurs from a mere staff of the Presidency.
The President should find the courage to personally answer the charges and address the message rather than get his aides to attack the messenger. As Baba said, Jonathan is “bleeding Nigeria to death”. It is time for change.
God used Obasanjo to put Jonathan in power and, by His grace, He will use that same Obasanjo to remove him.”

Mad fool
ReplyDeleteGood talk, Fani K.
ReplyDeleteApart from gsm rip off, which area is Obasanjo more better than Jonathan? Is it Odi or Electricity? If Jonathan has a killer squard, how many people have been killed or imprisoned without trial? But many people died during Obj rule, including Bola Ige! We know better now.its all gang up against Jonathan! Why not leave this man to the peoples vote in 2015?
ReplyDeleteThree power plants at Omotosho, Ajaokuta and Papalanto all working today. No single one between 1979 and 1999 when he left as military head of state and when he assumed office as president. He was able to put the country on the path of greatness the process which is being reverse by the president. It's on record that one serving governor was sent to jail. Financial crime was on decline. Late Yar'adua would have been able to build on these but for health challenges. Saul was the number one enemy of Christ but became His greatest apostle. Even if Obasanjo did not do well in office, president Jonathan a phd holder with superior exposure should be able to offer better leadership.
DeleteNot mad at all. He has his own ills but certainly supplement a good charge to the presido. Clearly, the aides will spoil the game once more like the many times they have spoilt it before.
ReplyDeleteNice talk
ReplyDeleteGood one there frm Femi
ReplyDeleteOBJ has not behaved his age by the letter he wrote. That was disgusting!
ReplyDeleteOnly Almighty God can determine if Jonathan will be re elected or not
Fani, you are only expressing your own side of hatred for the president and that will not take you far. You are seen as a highly controversial politician who has since lost his
clear reasoning. Ethnic bias has beclouded your good judgement for a very long time.
'Ogbon ologbon oje ka pe agba ni were.' OBJ couldnt deliver his local govt to PDP and he's accusing Jonathan of killing the party, when apparently he's losing a platform to anoint his recently adopted god son as the next president. His letter was a clear sign of a frusrated old politician. What did OBJ achieve in his 8 years of rule despite billions of dollars he sank into NEPA and things got worse.
God will help our dear country Nigeria - NOT Obasanjo.
True talk but OBJ should try and fix you. You need help
ReplyDeleteGEJ is the grand architect of his percieved peril; obasanjo's letter notwithstanding.
ReplyDeleteIf GEJ had not offered STATE PARDON to Alameishga (Former governor of Bayelsa State), cunningly release AL-Mustapha, handled Oduah case with tribal sentiment and many others I would have said OBJ's letter was a deceit. If OBJ and others of his age and status are still afraid to talk truth by now, only God knows the punishment He had prepared for them. May Almighty God save Nigeria!
ReplyDeleteOBJ is not talking in the interest of Nigeria, but because he has become so frustrated in solving the problems he personally created in the PDP.
ReplyDeleteHe spoke the truth, but with evil intention, he lost and wasted the great opportunity God gave him to fix Nigeria as a three time Head of this country.
For femi Fani Kayode, you said "“OBJ has finally closed GEJ’s chapter with his letter. Jonathan is finished- mark my words" again you said " The Ebora Owu has spoken and the issues that he has raised are too serious to be ignored or to be responded to with amatuerish and cheeky insults and slurs from a mere staff of the Presidency".
Well I have never met GEJ nor OBJ BUT I can tell you that Obasanjo is not God and he cannot determine the destiny of another person. Therefore is an error and too myopic for you to say that the chapter of another man is closed simply because one Obasanjo has spoken, I can see that you are so desperate to please your master even outside of the Aso Rock, unfortunately your time is past and you are long forgotten in the dustbin of leadership of this great country, Obasanjo has lost his pride of place as an elderstate man by this singular act of deliberately pulling the president down. There are more better way of addressing this issue, your message and his sounds more of hate.
Femi, am no fan of yours but I believe OBJ is not a better president than Jona. all I know is that when there is smoke, fire is involved. Jona should not destroy Nigeria with selfish interest and should correct every wrong things he has done. for the money allegations, he should ensure transperency in the investigation and this time prosecute anyone one liable. also the issue of the he hailed from Benin should be also be addressed. long live Nigeria as a whole.
ReplyDeleteFani talks too much and sometimes display tribal sentiments, nevertheless he decoded the thoughts of the general populace of our dear contry, I think we should be objective in our comment vis- a - vis Chief Obasanjo's missive to our sitting President. Are the alligations true? If yes then something should be done urgently as it means our president has jetisson his oats of office hence, impeachment notice should be served. But if the letter was written out of jealousy or parocial interest and it is found to be baseless, then the Federal Government should go to court with their fact to seek redress and curb a re-occurence.
ReplyDeleteThis man is hungry.....let GEJ fix him somewhere and let us rest
ReplyDeleteWell said, OBJ may have his bad side being human, but GEJ is not fit to rule this country. HE (GEJ) sits and watch his ethnic brothers (Clark and Asari etc.,) threaten the unity of Nigeria because of their brother? I am from the South too like GEJ, but cannot defend his weak, unfocused leadership. He is breeding more corrupt politicians than past leaders.
ReplyDeleteGod bless Baba for speaking out, whatever his intentions, he atleast said what needs to be said, it is left to us as Nigerians that Jona is bleeding to death to act. We dont need OBJ to know that thingfs are grinding to a halt under GEJ, the blind, deaf and dumb can even attest to that. His bad leadership is biting on us. It's time Nigerians say no to bad leadership in the 3 tier of government. ho ha
ReplyDeleteI agree in Toto with Fani , we are in for trouble in Nigeria if decisive changes are not done now.
ReplyDeleteThat is very correct Femi.
ReplyDeleteIf we keep saying that what is good is bad, what kind of good do we want? We all know GEJ has done better than his predecessors, OBJ included!
ReplyDeleteAre u blind, fani, supporters?
This man is working pls! Power is getting stable; sorry if it has not reached u.
Our roads are changing.
GEJ is a good devil, i think we prefer that.
