Like the popular saying, "What a man can do, a woman can also do it"
The female soldier pictured above yesterday defied the odds to join the other 1,199 troops in Mali, where a war is raging to flush out insurgents from the North.
It should be noted that even most developed countries still shy away from allowing women to serve in direct combat roles.
We commend her bravery, we wish her and the whole troops fighting the rebels, the best in Mali.
